FAQs

DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?

No, I am currently operating on an appointment-only basis. I will announce on Instagram if I ever plan to host a flash day or walk-in day.

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

All appointments are scheduled through the contact form on this site. I will announce on Instagram when my books are open.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

You must bring an unexpired government-issued photo ID with your date of birth to the appointment. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early. You may only bring one friend to the session and they must wait in the waiting area. Please do not bring minors to the studio. Make sure to eat beforehand and be fully hydrated. If the appointment is more than two hours long or if you have issues with low blood sugar make sure to pack some easy, mess-free snacks. I do have hard candy available during the appointment. Do not come to your appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs or if you are contagiously ill. Make sure to wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being tattooed.

WHERE IS THE SHOP LOCATED?

Daydream Tattoo Studio is located at 2426 NE Broadway St in Portland, OR. There is limited street parking in front of the studio on Broadway but more can be found in the surrounding neighborhood. Our shop is wheelchair accessible.

ARE YOUR INKS VEGAN?

Yes, I use vegan inks and products that are not tested on animals.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES? WHEN TRAVELING?

PORTLAND: I have a $150 minimum. Flash is generally $125/hour and custom work is priced by the piece. Prices are based on drawing time, set up and break down, the tattoo procedure, and an included touch up if needed. I am always willing to work with your budget whenever possible. Sliding scale rates are available for those who self-identify as POC or trans, or are on disability or government assistance. PLEASE NOTE: When I am traveling my rates do have to increase. I have to include a percentage of my airfare and accommodations into each tattoo as well as take into consideration the shop fees and minimums that are often much higher than at my Portland studio.

HOW DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT?

I prefer cash, but can take Venmo, Cash App, or Paypal if needed. Tips are greatly appreciated as there is much behind the scenes work that goes into being a tattoo artist and many costs associated with owning and running a tattoo studio.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY TATTOO?

You can find my aftercare instructions here. It is VERY IMPORTANT to take proper care of your tattoo to ensure that it does not get infected or heal poorly.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON TOUCH UPS?

I want your tattoos to look their best! If any lines fell out or colors healed splotchy, please let me know. Touch ups are free of charge and can be scheduled as soon as one month after your tattoo. You do not need to wait for my books to open to request a touch up. Please use the contact form on this site to request a touch up so I can stay organized. If you did not leave the clear bandage on for the recommended period of time, then the touch up cost will be $50. I appreciate your honesty!
